Close up: Catena Davy
This linear string of 23 tiny craters into the Catena Davy runs from the midpoint of Davy Y towards the walled basin Ptolemaeus, following a slightly curving course to the east-northeast. It is believed to have been formed by a body that broke up prior to impacting on the lunar surface.
